We, the parents, got another letter home today.

Just a suggestion, maybe it would be a good idea to send a follow up letter home via the students as to what actually happened with the previous individual(s) that made the previous threat. MAYBE it would deter others. Maybe not.

I'm getting a little tired of this. I did not save the last letter unfortunately but I am pretty sure it was more detailed than this one. If memory serves me right it stated a sweep of the...

While at the All-County Chorus Concert last night at the HS gym, I overheard a conversation and was wondering if anyone out there has heard the same rumor?? The HS principal is resigning effective ASAP???? Also heard that the @#%$'t sup't is looking for employment elsewhere as well??? Just curious. Don't want to start any rumors, just curious is all. Thanks!!

Glad folks are FINALLY learning about and speaking UP about the total WASTE of money already from the taxpayers on the new school.
Imagine if all of that $$$$$$$$$$ could have been used in the classroom for the students!!!!!

DOVER, Del. An elementary school teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of rape, authorities said.

The teacher allegedly had sex with the boy 28 times during the last week of March, and on at least one occasion allowed the boy's 12-year-old friend to watch, authorities said. She also gave the students alcohol, according to New Castle County Police.

New Assistant Principal Hired at LCHS

I read this last night in the 25 cent LCHS newspaper.

LCHS has "intern" assistant principal to take place of Mr. Weidow, who left LCHS after Christmas to take lead position at Orange Co. High School.

Walkoviak(spelling is wrong so what?) has been a teacher for 5 years at the LC Middle School. Gym/Health. No experience in administration but not to worry....he's taking courses for it while on the job.

Now, maybe this has been reported in the Central...

In the CV today there is an article regaring the Review of LCPS weapons policy....

Two things of interest to me:

They say and I quote: "the types of knives prohibited include "any dirk, bowie, switchblade, knife, ballistic knife, machete, knife or razor" then it goes on to say

"as Melton pointed out, possession of one of the variety of prohibited knives is NOT grounds for expulsion, as are drugs or firearms" - SAY WHAT.....YOU CAN BRING THOSE...

Toy BB gun at LCHS

as per the CV today, there was alot of news regarding a senior who mistakenly bought a toy BB gun to school. In the CV it states that the boy was at a friends house and the friend gave him this toy as a birthday gift, he said he would give it to his brother cause he really wasn't into that kind of stuff. The next morning this young man got up - put his jammies and toothbrush in his bookbag along with this toy and proceeded to school. While in school - he never once showed the toy BB gun...

Let me tell you all who could not be there this..........

The Lions whipped the Mustangs tonight BIG TIME. 37 to 7. Allowed them a touchdown........after all it was Monticello's homecoming. That's class I tell ya.

There was steady mist in the hills of Albemarle, yet the Louisa community that was able made the trip and sat through the dismal weather with sore hearts but strong spirit.

Teens wore t-shirts in tribute to their fallen friend. Banners lined the fences...

More fun in the Jungle this week!

I can't wait for Friday night to come! More fun in the Jungle this week. The Lions open District Play this week against Western Albemarle.

The word is spreading across the state that Louisa is one of the toughest places to play because of the rowdy fans. Team are fearing the Jungle and the "twelfth man."

I thought Coach Fischer's letter to the editor was great. He and Doug Straley, the AD, are doing great things with athletics and this community. Anyone heard...
